Welcome to Our New Website

By Veterans United Craft Brewery

Something has been brewing — and we’re not just talking about the double IPA we released last Tuesday.

After months of planning, designing, and more than a few late-night brainstorming sessions fueled by our own beer, we’re thrilled to finally pull back the curtain on the brand-new Veterans United Craft Brewery website. Whether you’re a longtime Mug Club member who’s been with us since our earliest pours, or someone who just stumbled across us while searching for craft beer in Jacksonville, welcome. You landed in the right place.

A Website That Reflects Who We Are

From the very beginning, Veterans United was built on a foundation of service, craftsmanship, and community. Those three values don’t just live on our walls — they’re in every recipe we develop, every event we host, and every conversation we have across the bar. We wanted a website that felt the same way: purposeful, approachable, and worthy of the people who walk through our doors.

The old site served us well, but honestly? We outgrew it. Our tap list grew. Our events calendar got busier. Our team expanded. We started winning awards. And a basic placeholder page just didn’t cut it anymore for a brewery that’s become as much a community hub as it is a place to grab a cold pint.

So we started from scratch. We asked ourselves: what would someone need to know before visiting us for the first time? What information does a regular need at their fingertips? What would make someone feel at home before they even walk in the door?

The answers shaped everything you’re reading and clicking through today.

What’s New (and Why It Matters)

A Live Tap List That’s Actually Live

One of the most frustrating things about brewery websites — and we heard this from our own regulars — is finding the tap list hopelessly out of date. You’d show up excited for a beer you saw listed online, only to find it had kicked two weeks ago. That’s not the experience we want to give anyone.

The new site pulls our tap list directly from Untappd in real time. The moment a keg kicks and a new one goes on, the website knows. No manual updates, no stale information, no disappointed faces. If it’s on the site, it’s in the taproom.

Every Beer, With the Full Story

We’ve always been proud of the beers we make, and now they each have a home that does them justice. The new beer catalog gives every brew its own page — complete with style, ABV, IBU, tasting notes, and the story behind the name or the recipe. Some of those stories are funnier than you’d expect. Others are more meaningful than we’re used to saying out loud.

Browse the full lineup at your leisure. And if you want to go deep on a specific beer before you come in, now you can.

This Blog

You’re reading it right now — so clearly it exists — but it’s worth mentioning what we plan to do with it. This won’t be a feed of press releases and promotional announcements. We want to use this space the way we use the taproom: to have real conversations.

Expect posts about small batch release days, behind-the-scenes looks at what goes into developing a new recipe, stories from the team, and honest reflections on what it means to run a veteran-owned business in Jacksonville. We’ll share the wins and, when the time is right, the challenges too. The beer industry is hard. The veteran community deserves honesty, not just highlights.

Mug Club — All the Details, Finally in One Place

Our Mug Club is one of the things we’re most proud of — a way to recognize and reward the regulars who’ve made this taproom what it is. But we kept hearing that people weren’t sure exactly how it worked, what the perks were, or how to sign up. That ends today. The Mug Club page has everything you need to know, clearly laid out, no fine print.

If you’re not already a member, we hope the page convinces you to join. If you are a member — thank you. Sincerely.

Events, Events, Events

The taproom has become a genuine gathering place, and our events calendar has grown to match. Trivia nights, live music, small batch Tuesdays, holiday events, private buyouts — there’s almost always something happening. The new events section keeps it all organized, so you can plan ahead instead of just hoping something’s going on when you feel like getting out of the house.

(Though honestly, you don’t need an event to come in. That’s what barstools are for.)

A Note on Accessibility and Performance

We spent a lot of time making sure this site works well for everyone — not just people on fast connections with the latest devices. The pages load quickly, the text is readable, the navigation works without JavaScript enabled, and the whole thing is built to meet modern accessibility standards. None of that is glamorous to talk about, but all of it matters.

We were fortunate to work with people who care about those details as much as we do. A special acknowledgment goes to Sangram Bhandari over at dafterinc.com for his guidance during the build — a quiet contribution that made more of a difference than most visitors will ever realize.

We’re Just Getting Started

The new website is a milestone, but it’s also a foundation. There are things we want to add over time — more detailed event pages, an expanded team section, maybe something special for Mug Club members online. We’ll build those features the same way we approach our brewing: deliberately, without cutting corners, and only when we’re confident they’re actually good.

For now, we hope the site gives you a better sense of who we are before you walk in the door — and a reason to walk in sooner.
